PLU Credit

Conference Strand November 12-15, 2009

DESCRIPTION:

This is a 2 1/2 day conference, November 12-15, which is being held at Brasstown Valley Resort and at Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia. Applicants may earn either 1 PLU credit with a minimum of 10 hours or 2 PLU credits with a minimum of 20 hours of training at the conference.   To earn 2 PLU credits the following schedule is required: 4 hours of workshops on Thursday, 6 hours of workshops and 2 hours of learning meal events on Friday, and 6 hours of workshops and 2 hours of learning meal events on Saturday.  Participants attending workshops and learning meal events will be involved with authentic learning strategies for art education that can be translated directly into authentic instruction in the classroom. Workshops and learning meal events vary from hands-on art activities including the use of computers and art materials to theoretical discussions on art history, aesthetics, art criticism, and visual culture.
