2009 GAEA Members' Juried Exhibition Selection Information

If you see your artwork, congratulations, your piece has been selected by Ms. Carol Sauvion, juror and keynote speaker. Thank you to all artists submitting work. The response was overwhelming, 70 submissions.

Accepted Artists Shipping Dates: Monday , Nov. 2 - Friday, Nov. 6, (Ship to Campus Gate Art Gallery, Young Harris College, 5149 College Street, Young Harris, GA 30582)

Hand Delivery is Friday, November 6th

Installation is Monday a.m. (9-12?), November 9 (GAEA installation team is Michael Marling de Cuellar, Hank Margeson)

Exhibit dates are November 9-14, 2009

Opening Reception is Thursday, November 12

The Members Exhibit Reception will take place at the Campus Gate Gallery on the Young Harris College campus Thursday evening November 12 at 8:00 pm following the American Craft Symposium.

Thursday Evening Schedule: 7:00-8:00 pm American Craft Symposium at YHC Clegg Auditorium
8:00-9:30 pm Members Exhibit Reception (across the street from Clegg).

You are invited to enter the juried member exhibit! Don't let this opportunity slip away. Upload your image today! The deadline for entering is October 1 st. Members whose works are selected will be notified individually to ship or deliver work to the Young Harris College Art Gallery.

You will use Flickr to upload your photos for judging. There's no need to set-up an account. Each artist can submit only ONE PIECE for the juror to make her selection. If another is submitted, the second one will be deleted. RESIZE your image and save as a JPEG no larger than 500 kb to make it "web friendly". You can right click on the image and look at "properties" to check the image size. Several megabytes? The image is too large for our account, resize before uploading!! After resizing, open the image full screen to ensure judge will see it clearly without pixilation.

On the home screen, go to upper right "Upload photos & video"
Then "Choose Photos and Video"
Then "Upload"
Title the piece where it says "title and type your name, medium, size, and e-mail for the "description"
