Dear Fellow Art Educators,

I wanted to introduce myself and my co-president of District Nine of G.A.E.A. I am located in Colquitt County and teach at Mitchell-Baker High School in Mitchell County. My co-president, Tamara Daughtry, is located in Glynn County and teaches at Satilla Marsh Elementary School. We have taken on the challenge of trying to identify and contact art teachers in the district. If you are a public or private school art teacher in Ben Hill, Irwin, Berrien, Cook, Lowndes, Turner, Tift, Colquitt, Brooks, Thomas, Grady, or Decatur Counties, please contact me. If you are in Echols, Lanier, Clinch, Charlton, Atkinson, Coffee, Bacon, Pierce, Brantley, Ware, Camden or Glynn Counties, please contact Tamara.

I would like to identify at least one contact teacher in each county or school district to serve as a liaison regarding state board activities, but I also look forward to meeting with as many of you as possible in person in the future.

We want to see who is teaching art in the district, and to encourage as much growth in GAEA membership as possible. Being a GAEA member is a great way to collaborate with other art teachers, get fantastic ideas, and promote your art program.  Please let us know if you have any questions.
